10408 Express Checkout token is missing
Hi All
I've just received this message, I'm on 1.3.8a and never had this problem before.
Someone has tried to order something from the site and I've received this message
"10408 Express Checkout token is missing. - Express Checkout token is missing. "
The only thing I've done recently was update my google products feed, I haven't changed/ uploaded any modules in ages. Would this have had an effect.
I've had a look through the forums the solutions that are there don't seem to apply to me I don't have a "&" in the shop name etc and I've checked curl and the ipn communications and both come back fine.
Any advice?

That's a courtesy email telling you of an error message encountered while attempting to check out.
Unless you're getting that message repeatedly, the customer most likely was asked to start the payment process again, and thus likely completed the order in a second attempt.

My website has this problem too, but only once. I think it was accidental mistake.

I apologize for reopening an old thread but figured that it would mean one less thread for people (like myself) to search through when looking for an answer to their problem.
I am using version 1.3.9h with quite a few addons and custom code changes but nothing recently (I will provide more detail if it seems relevant).
About a month ago I changed from IPN to Express (due to the frustration of receiving a lot of duplicate orders). In the first two weeks, I received one or two of the "10408 Express Checkout token is missing" errors but after reading the forums, it seemed to be relatively harmless so I ignored it. I then moved my site to a new web host (now with Host Monster) and this past 2 weeks I have received the error almost daily. Investigating further, I discovered that the orders that may have caused the error (or at least took place at about the same time) still went through successfully BUT I did not receive any email notifications for the order, so I am concerned with what other functionality may not have been called as well.
My store only has around 2-10 transactions per day, so receiving this error almost daily is quite a significant percentage of the transactions.
I have enabled the debug logging but I am not sure what I should be looking for in the logs to get any real benefit from them.
If anyone could shed some light on what I should be looking for or any settings that may need to be looked at (or code to be tweaked), it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks heaps!
