Sorry, we are not shipping to your region at this time.
Can't figure this one out at all. Cart works perfectly when customer is located in Canada, but for US orders i get this message "Sorry, we are not shipping to your region at this time."
i have read the tutorial on this and still don't understand what i could be doing wrong?
Any ideas?

The message means that there are no shipping modules available which are configured to provide quotes for the customer's shipping address.
Typically that's because you've restricted all your active shipping modules to zones that don't include the customer's address.
Or, if the order qualifies for free shipping, you don't have the free-shipping module enabled, so it can't quote for you.
