Downloadable Files
I hope I'm in the right thread here!
I have the Zen Cart Book just so that you know.
I am trying to have downloads for my customers when they purchase an item it
can be downloaded. Now my problem is Step 2 on page 213 of the book tells me
to make sure that the <zc-home>/download directory exists on the server. If
you do not see the directory, check the following line in your <zc-home>/includes/configure.php
file to see which directory your downloadable file should be in.
Now where do I find this?
Please understand that I am learning this as I go.
When I open my Core I have the following and need to know where I go from here?
And if that file doesn't exist, then how do I make one.

thanks again,
Debi

Re: Downloadable Files
Is This what I'm looking for and then what do I do? I found this in the configure.php
Code:
<?php

*
* @package Configuration Settings
* @copyright Copyright 2003-2006 Zen Cart Development Team
* @copyright Portions Copyright 2003 osCommerce
* @license http://www.zen-cart.com/license/2_0.txt GNU Public License V2.0
*/
/*************** NOTE: This file is similar, but DIFFERENT from the "admin" version of configure.php. ***********/
/*************** The 2 files should be kept separate and not used to overwrite each other. ***********/

// For SQL_CACHE_METHOD, you can select from: none, database, or file
// If you choose "file", then you need to set the DIR_FS_SQL_CACHE to a directory where your apache
// or webserver user has write privileges (chmod 666 or 777). We recommend using the "cache" folder inside the Zen Cart folder
// ie: /path/to/your/webspace/public_html/zen/cache -- leave no trailing slash
define('SQL_CACHE_METHOD', 'none');
define('DIR_FS_SQL_CACHE', '/xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx');
?>
If there is something that shouldn't be seen by the public could you please take this out??????

Re: Downloadable Files
You'll find your "download" folder under the "public_html" folder, along with all the rest of your Zen Cart files.
