Curl error during 1.3.9 install. we have curl installed tho

We get these errors when we try to install 1.3.9. We never got such errors with 1.3.8. Also,our servers have curl installed.

* CURL requires SSL support. Please notify webmaster or hosting company. 6 => name lookup timed out more info...
* CURL problems detected: 5 => name lookup timed out more info...
* CURL requires SSL support. Please notify webmaster or hosting company. 5 => name lookup timed out more info...
* /admin/includes/configure.php does not exist more info...
* /includes/configure.php file does not exist more info...

Any ideas why it's throwing these errors?

checking phpinfo shows these:

CURL support enabled
CURL Information libcurl/7.15.5 OpenSSL/0.9.8b zlib/1.2.3 libidn/0.6.5

The "name lookup timed out" issue is something your hosting company will have to resolve in their server's resolv.conf settings and/or NameServer config settings
