Cancel Gift Voucher from GV QUEUE

This is similar to the GV CANCEL thread but slightly different.

I am running 1.5.4.

I created a product with the model "GIFT BASKET-SC" and a customer bought it. However I had forgotten that models with the name starting GIFT would create a voucher and place it in the queue to be released and used by a customer. I sent the customer an actual physical gift basket.

Thus I now have a pending gift voucher in the COUPON_GV_QUEUE with a RELEASE FLAG of N. It is not yet listed in the COUPONS table. I assume once it is released, it moves from COUPON_GV_QUEUE to COUPONS and an email is sent to the customer.

Can I just delete this entry in COUPON_GV_QUEUE with MySQL? If I release it in Admin, the customer gets an email and I'd prefer that doesn't happen. He already received a physical gift basket and I don't want to have to explain to him why he got an email saying he has $50 to spend now, but I am cancelling it.

I have since changed my gift basket models to not start with GIFT :-)

The GV that are queued are located in the table:
coupon_gv_queue

These can be cancelled by marking them:
release_flag

as C so that they are not available to be released in the normal manner ...

While marking them Y would also work, I prefer to use the C for Cancel so it stands out differently than the normal flags of Y or N ...
