checkout item dsecription
Has any one or is anyone interested in writing a mod on
customizing the item description in the view cart page and invoice. A item name is not very descriptive for the items especialy if there are alot of different manf for the same type of item.
I have posted this and someone kindly posted the alterations for a table but it did not work for fields within the table and it had trouble with adding a more than one?
I would be nice to have:
itme name; manufactuer; item number; and a new table I created is skill type.
ideas?
tia

I think that developers wait for Zencart 2.0, since all mods have to be rewritten once Zencart migrates, it is not interesting to write a mod only useful for several months.
Patience is the cure I think

It might be better to pay to get the customization done if you can't do it or find a volunteer. 2.0 is going to be a while from all indications here, the beta was due like 10 months ago and still no word on it's release so it looks like it will be quite some time for a stable, non-beta version of 2.0 to be released. It would be beneficial to the community if you released any code you have to the community, there are others that would benefit from your customization.
Re: checkout item dsecription
Actually someone did give me a code - it worked great for a table at least on the checkout page -
However for multiple features I was having trouble and it did not work for any description that was in a field within a table as opposed to a table.
I am going to go back and do some more work and the table af multiple - however I dont know much PHP and to cnvert it into a field that will take some research.
If anyone has any ideas you can post or PM.
