Forgotten Password Email Not Being Received

Hi,
I've had my site running great for a while now, but currently having a new issue with customers not receiving the email when they click 'Forgotten Password' and enter their correct email address. This was working up until now so really confused as to why it's not working now.
Any ideas?

Same problem here with 1.3.8a. But in my case, I don't think it was ever working. My site isn't yet in production and can't be until this gets solved.
On a related note: Is it possible for the admin to manually reset the password? (I was even thinking of just deleting it from the database record and seeing what would happen.)

A little additional info: I tried some of the fixes recommended elsewhere, but no luck.
What's truly weird to me about this is that I receive email for a new login, no problem. I receive email for customer sales (for these new logins). And I created a new login, receive confirmation, bought something and got my order in email, also sent test messages -- and the password email worked, too!
So something is wrong with this old test account. Since it was created with an earlier version of ZenCart, perhaps there is some problem there?
For now, the mystery is on hold. I'm just going to delete those old test accounts.
