Basic Steps to Adding Product Attributes ?
Hi there,
As I have said before, I am very new to Zen Cart, and have been able to customize almost everything. I have the latest version, and have set up shop at
http://www.simplydelightfuldesigns.c...ctsandservices
I am smack middle in adding all of my products and services to the store. I would like to be able to offer my customers three different payment levels (more like deposits).
For example - The full price of item a is $1500.00 - which I realize is a little pricy for some people, so I would like to use attributes so that I can offer
choice 1 - make a $500 deposit
choice 2 - make a $750 deposit
choice 3 - make the full payment
I have created the product here:

and I have gone through the steps of adding the option name and values and have gone to the attributres controller to match them up and add them, and EVERY single time, I am getting a radio button where each and every radio button for the payments is selected???? I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong??
The box on the bottom has really got me confused. I have a basic idea of what all those radio buttons are for, but I'm not sure if I have gotten them all correct. I've attached an image of what I currently have selected:

Re: Basic Steps to Adding Product Attributes ?
Try setting the Option Name as Payment
then the Values as Full, Half, Third
Then in the controller - add the attribute to the product and set your prices there.
This How To may help.

:smile::smile::smile::smile:
that TOTALLY WORKED!!! Is there some sort of trick or limits to what kind of text or numbers you can put in as far as the values? I don't know why it worked - but it did! I was about racking my brain so THANK YOU SOOOOOO MUCH!!!
