Image Handler Newbie Question
I am new to Zen Cart so please excuse my dumb question.
I have trawled through the IH2 docs, and some of the 652 page support thread.
I have a basic install question - when copying the directories over are they merged with the existing directories?
So if a directory exists (like images/ and includes/) do the files in these overwite the existing files and take precedent over them?
I have a standard new install on a linux server with no add-ons, I am using v.1.3.9h with the standard template.
Thanks

This will be how your FTP Client is setup and not in how ZenCart is setup
Most FTP Clients can be setup to do this if not by default
Re: Image Handler Newbie Question
Thanks for your response.
Perhaps I need to clarify my question:
When copying the directories over, if I have two filenames the same do I need to use the IH2 file instead of the existing file that came with the install?
Also in the install instructions:
" 3. Rename the includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE & includes/modules/YOUR_TEMPLATE folders to your template name."
Now I am using the default template, so what would I rename this to?

1) yes the image handler files should overwrite, the zencart ones (provided you haven't made any customisations to those files)
2) Never use the default template, i am assuming you mean the classic (ugly green 90s looking thing), you should make you own,
BUT
should you choose to keep using the classic template you would just rename those directories to
includes/templates/classic
and
includes/modules/classic
Also be aware Internet explorer 9 breaks the hover functionality, there is a fix in the image handler support thread (or hereIH ie9 compat code )
For Image handler help, its best to post in the image handler thread, as the people who maintain IH keep an eye on that thread
