Is there a Gift Certificates tutorial?

We sell gift cetificates on our website, I can see them in the queue, but when I click on release gift, and hit confirm, I received this message, go to admin, configuraton than email options, than E-Mail Transport Method, what do I select?

once this is fixed does the gift certifate go to the customers inbox? how do they redeem their gift certificate?

is there a tutorial on gift certificates on zen cart?

In the past when customers have bought gift certificates, I just mailed them one from the store but now there are 3 in stuck in the queue, how do I void them out since I already mailed them from the store.

The email transport method is the mechanism by which your host server sends and receives email.

The transport method YOU choose, will depend on HOW your web-host has configured their server.

DEFAULT behavior for zencart is to use php methods, but many hosts are stopping this on their servers, claiming that this method presents security risks.

You need to contact your host who will tell you what transport method they are using on their servers, and then you select that one from the options in your zc admin.

I always recommend switching to SMTPAUTH since it makes emails less likely to get caught in spam traps.

According to the error message I received it appeared that the gift certficates did not go through but we just received an order with someone using them, how can you track them? is there a paper trail to see if they were actually sent, how do we track them coming in,? are they numbered?

I figured out how to make the gift certifcate part work, but still have 3 in the que that need to be voided does anyone know how to do that???

There's no built-in facility for that. Gift Certificates are akin to cash, so voiding isn't something you would normally do ;)
I think there's an addon that lets you have more control over those if you need it.
