Adding Left & Right Edges Like the New ZC Look
I love the new ZC forum look and had been wanting to adding drop shadows at both sides of the page for my site like the new ZC forum page.
Looking at the CSS file, I found the tags are .leftEdge and .rightEdge. I totally plagiarized it and created gifs for the drop shadow. However, I'm stuck at how to display them. I have set my page width to be 90% and is "stretchable" according to my customer's browser width. How do I make it such that the drop shadows expand/contract inline with varying page width? Wld greatly appreciate any advise. TIA.

Assuming that you have also defined the tags you would apply them in the stylesheet as such:

I'm using FF and the web dev. kit. I copied-n-paste both tags into my stylesheet. Looking thru' the ZC webpage, I then noted the following code used for displaying the left edge:

and if I'm not barking up the wrong tree, to display the left edge for my new site (1.3.5), I added the following codes (at line 64) into /includes/templates/mytemplate/common/tpl_main_page.php:

however, all I've achieved is an extra blank line at the top of the webpage. Am I on the right track or am way out?

Got it. Had to add a couple of tables (for header & footer) and encase the main body. If anyone is interested, here's the code:

You'll need to add the tags into the stylesheet as kobra mentioned.

Thanks for posting your solution...I really did not want to get into the use of the tables as was done for this layout without actually doing it first. But as you have determined this is how it is structured.
