how can I force login credentials to appear before anyone can gain access?
I have a site, for example, www.mysite.com and created a new one at www.mysite.com/subfolder. For the sub folder, what would I have to copy from the admin folder to force a login in order for those to browse. This subfolder will be used as a means of only employees entering to gain access to training videos and private company information.
I need the admin login credentials to appear before anyone can gain access.
Thanks
Re: how can I force login credentials to appear before anyone can gain access?
After some browsing, I see that if I go to Admin - Configuration - Customer Details - Cust shop status (set to 1), I will get the same effect. Would this be correct?
If so, what is the proper way to accomplish making an exact copy to a subfolder for employees to enter. I either have 2 choices a 1) fresh install and 2) copy folders and database and modify the 2 configure.php files. But I am unsure of the order of the steps to avoid having problems. This is what I am planning on doing.
1) Put root store to maintenance
2) backup database and zip the store files
3) create and upload new database and input it in the configure.php
4) upload zip files to subfolder
Does the steps really matter on whether I modify the configure.php files before or after uploading the database? Just trying to avoid complications. Thanks
