How to tell if SSL is working correctly?
Website: http://mistkits(dot)com
Host: Bluehost
Version: 1.3.9h
I had Bluehost install an SSL on a dedicated server for me. I can access the site using https://www.mistkits(dot)com so the certificate seems to be working correctly.
I enabled SSL in the configure.php files and made the entire admin SSL protected.
The admin is indeed protected because I see the https in the url, however I don't see any https on any of the store login, create account, payment, or other pages that should be protected.
I have read the FAQ on enabling the SSL and did exactly as it suggested and have done a bit of searching but have not found an answer to this question. I am sure it may have been answered before, but....
Re: How to tell if SSL is working correctly?
Your SSL is working correctly, but your login link is not pointing to https. That means that it isn't setup correctly in your configure.php. Remember that there are two files that need to be edited - includes/configure.php and your_admin/includes/configure.php. You also need to make sure that the edited file is being correctly. Sometimes the permissions can block that from happening.
