IE bug with customized template

I am working on customizing a website with zen cart version 1.3.7

I have a customized template which I am still very customizing but I need help with an ie bug.

On the main_page I have called an image that is happily showing up on mozilla but is totally blank on IE.

What have I done wrong to cause it to now show up on ie? Any help you can offer will be most certainly appreciated. I have some other questions but I have not been able to figure this out and I suspect it might be a slight coding error on my part. Staying up until 4am doesn't seem to do much to help clarify coding issues.
