Re: Admin-Editable Sidebox - Support Thread
Just installed this and going through the manual it makes refference to " open the includes/languages/english/extra_definitions/editable_sidebox_defines.php and replace the text that says Blank Sidebox Header " I don't see where it says that , the only thing i see that has blank in it is " blank_sidebopx.php " so what is this refering to ?
I do have it working but i do notice that the spaces beteween the sideboxes have disappeared, as seen at www.nostik.ca
is there a way to get the spacing back ?
Thank you.

Re: Admin-Editable Sidebox - Support Thread
I have installed the editable sidebox on my test site and it seemed to be working fine.
I then went into the 'define pages editor' and using plain text entered the content i wanted which was simply:
'Prices Now Showing Inclusive of VAT'
This worked fine, see screenshot 'editable sidebox plain text'
I then went into the html edit and tried to change the colour of the text etc and this saved ok.
Then when I vew on the site this shows up as code rather than text, please see 'screenshot editable sidebox html'
Would really appreciate any help on this as would like to get this uploaded to my live site. The mod seems excellent
Thnks

Re: Admin-Editable Sidebox Support Thread
Hi,
I am very new to all of this. I have managed to get my site to look the way I want it to except I would like to have 2 category side boxes. I am combining 2 stores into one. One site machine embroidery designs and the second site is clipart. I would like to have a category sidebox for each, but am having problems getting the the right folders attached to the right sidebox. I have tried the separate category sidebox, but what happened is all of the products show in the Designs sidebox and nothing in the clipart sidebox. Would the Editable Sidebox be a better choice? How do I direct the folders I want to show into each sidebox so that they show under the correct category? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Ellen

Re: Admin-Editable Sidebox Support Thread
Your better route may be to use Categories Dressing and style it to look like two separate boxes for the two groups of categories.
Re: Admin-Editable Sidebox Support Thread
Ok, how do I do that? Like I said I am very new to all of this, have never done HTML or CSS before but managed to figure out enough to get the site looking good. This is the last thing we need to get done before we open the store. I need to get this done as soon as possible because we are loosing sales.
Thanks for any help you can give.

Re: Admin-Editable Sidebox Support Thread
Download Categories Dressing from Plugins and read the readme file. You can define two "category groups" as described there, and style each of them to look like a separate sidebox, with a defined heading for each one. For more detail, ask in the Categories Dressing support thread.
