Retrieving the $this->confirmation of an order.

I'm in the middle of trying to emulate the following add-on for another cart program to ZenCart. (It's essentially a "better" checkout_success page.)

The problem that I'm encountering is highlighted in the red box. For ZenCart, many modules have information similar to this in the $this->confirmation portion of each module page. Aside from creating if cases regarding each possible module that I run, is there a way that I can access that part of the module similar to the way it does in the checkout_confirmation?
