Not Really a Special
On my client's current site (a pure HTML site/cart), we have the product's price as:
List: $525.00 .... Our Price: $288.75
Basically, all the office chairs will be -45% off from the wholesale price.
There will be other office furniture on the site that will have their own -% off ... so the above isn't store-wide.
Anyways ... we want to continue the above look on the new cart by stating:
List: $525.00 .... Our Price: $288.75
So ... how do I go about this?
- Will I have to add new product ... and put in List price as the product's price.
- And then go to Product Price Manager, install Special Price Info for each product and put in the "Our Price"???
If so, that's a LOT of work, especially when we have almost 600 products.
BTW: this is permanent pricing ... not "Specials" or Sales or anything like that. We just want to show customers that our pricing is less than normal retail.

Re: Not Really a Special
Sorry, forgot to mention.
When the customer checks out ... we don't want the List price showing ... just the Our Price ... since the Our Price is really just our normal pricing.
And we also don't want a separate Specials page or anything else like that created.

Re: Not Really a Special
Yup, me again.
Here's one product I did Special Price Info to ...
http://www.caofficedesign.com/shop/i...&products_id=1
Is there a way for me to edit a template so the crossed out price can be labeled as List Price and the selling price as Our Price ... and delete out the Save: $45%?
This is what we were originally doing ...

Thanks for your help and patience on this.

Re: Not Really a Special
This, maybe:
http://www.zen-cart.com/index.php?ma...oducts_id=1140
I haven't used it, and I don't know if it will work with 1.5.0.

Re: Not Really a Special
Thanks Stevesh,
I wasn't sure if I can do what we wanted within ZC or if I had to use an add-on. I'll do further research on the addon you found.
But if anyone has any additional advice, suggestions, fixes for this, please feel free to share here.

Re: Not Really a Special
I just wanted to wrap up this thread by saying that the MSRP addon was exactly the situation I was looking for. I would never have thought to look for something like that.
Thank you so very much!
