I have a shop with no product images.
I have gone to Admin>Configuration>Product Listing>Display Product Image and set it to 0
It is still showing the no picture avail and larger image.
How do I remove the picture? I have no intention of putting pictures on the site.

IF you just want to disable temporarily then you could use firefox and web developers toolbar and select disable all images there .
Edit your_template/ css/ stylesheet.css
Add this:
#productMainImage {display: none;}
I added that to my stylesheet, and still the product image it there.

In firefox, I see no image ...
Refresh your browser ...
