Prevent top category image from showing on product page?
Hi,
I have two questions...
1. Do you know how to prevent top or sub-category images from displaying on the main product page? Example:
http://www.tastyglutenfreebakery.com...uffin-p-1.html
See how the category image is there, just above the main product image? That's fine if it were one one of the category pages, but not the main product page. How do you remove this?
2. Also, when clicking on any of the sub-category links, for instance, "Muffins," it goes right to the product page and thus not to the category Muffins. How do you make it so it goes directly to the category, not the product? The link shows that it's supposed to go to http://www.tastyglutenfreebakery.com/muffins-c-9_1.html but it changes automagically after you click the link to http://www.tastyglutenfreebakery.com...uffin-p-1.html. What the darn?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks much.

Jh,
1. Locate this:
includes/templates/nunnathegluten/css/stylesheet.css
Add this to the stylesheet.css
#categoryIcon Img {display: none;}
Re: Prevent top category image from showing on product page?
Thanks for your help haredo.
Is there another way to pull this off, ideally from the admin area? I implemented your suggestion and it worked, however, there's still the code and the br tag causing spacing issues. I'm sure I can locate where to remove this code, but I can't help but think there's an option to turn off sub-category images in the admin area. If possible, I'd rather take this route.
Thanks.

On my site it does what you want. This is the normal behaviour.
Do you have more than one product in each sub-category? If you're just setting up the store, you might only have one in each, in which case that's the one that will be shown.

You could peek in the Admin settings for Configuration ... Product Info ...
Quote:
Previous Next - Navigation Includes Category Position
Product's Category Image and Name Alignment Above Previous/Next Navigation Bar
0= off
1= Align Left
2= Align Center
3= Align Right

That did the trick. Thank you.
I can't tell you how many times I looked at both Product Info and Product Listing and couldn't find the solution. Thanks for your help.

Ah, the mage has stepped forward to enlighten us. :smartalec:
I'd set that so long ago I'd forgotten all about it. Upgrading is going to be like starting all over again. :lamo:
