When I add a product to a category or sub-category, all is ok. If I add a product to a sub-sub-category, none of the products show up including the ones in a higher level category.
I'm hoping I don't have to stick to just category & sub-category, I really need the additional levels.
Oh man - that's not my problem. My problem is if I add more than one product to any category, none show up.

Do you mean that you have products and subcategories in the same category? If so, this will cause your site significant problems when it tries to do its "category tree walk" to extract them.
Although there is a mod that gets around this, I wouldn't recommend it, as it has been announced that the next version of Zen Cart will use the modified pre-order tree traversal algorithm, which is hugely more efficient than the current Zen Cart method, but will likely fall fall over in a heap and gibber if confronted with categories containing both products and subcategories.
Yes, I have categories, then sub-categories and some sub-subcategories. But the products are only listed in one or the other, not in say a category and then a sub-category of.
So...hehehe...I just realized that they're not gone, my products are there but they're hiding behind a search page???? I'm used to osc where when you click on a category a list comes up of all the products in it. Do I need a special mod to do this or is there a setting in admin that I missed?

Category > Wedding Favors > Sub-Categories > Like This

It's blank, but I just added 3 products to that category.

turns out my product listing page had been overwritten by a mod I installed. Gosh, I was freaking out :laugh:
