That depends what you mean by name. You can give them whatever title you would like, and that would also show up as the link name for them. However, EZ-Pages aren't separate files - they're stored in in your database and served like CMS pages, so there is no file to name (for example) filename.php.
Re: How do EZ-Pages work?
Ah ... I see.
So then the best way to do this would be to use my index.php as a template and rename it to filename.php with the new content in the main center box.
Then use EZpages to get it into the system, and use that MOD to get it into the site map?
Or is there a way to add more pages into the list that comes up in the define pages editor in admin? That might work better.
(I don't want to create unncessary work of course.)

I tried this and the ez-pages link still aren't showing up in the header. Do I need to add them to the header.php file? If so, what do I use for a page name? The title of the page with blank spaces between words, put underscores in between words? i.e. About Us vs. About_us.
Also since they are not real pages, but instead stored in the db would they even be found?
I did think that the EZ Pages were the best thing in the newer versions, however it's a nightmare trying to figure out how to link them in places other than their original designated header, footer and sidebox.
Even in the sideboxes, I'm trying to keep like documents in the same sidebox, yet I can't find/figure out how to put an ez page link in the information sidebox. So that leaves me with the ez-pages sidebox with a variety of unrelated links.
Am I just missing something in the directions someplace, and placement is easier than it has been for me?
Please don't misunderstand me, I still think Zencart is the superior cart both in the free and commercial product fields.
I am just really really frustrated with myself in trying to get the ez page links where I need them.
thank you,
betty

Re: How do EZ-Pages work?
EZpages can enter into header web, if is not ezpage, that is sidebox. can catalog box, special box,.... enter into header web? how do?
Re: How do EZ-Pages work?
how do you get the pages to show up? I want to add a page to the sidebox and I went to tools and did everything there and inserted but nothing shows up... I also went to configuration, ezpages and everything seems to be set to 1. I dont understand why it wont show up...
help..
Re: How do EZ-Pages work?
Do you have the EZ-Page marked for the Sidebox? Not marked for the Sidebox, No Display ...
Do you have the Sort Order set for the EZ-Page that you created? No Sort Order, No Display ...
Are any Sidebox links showing for your EZ-Pages? If not, what are your settings under Configuration ... EZ-Pages Settings ... are they turned on?
Re: How do EZ-Pages work?
I did not have the order, so it did not display anything.. thanks for helping! It works fine now.
Re: How do EZ-Pages work?
Thanks for the update that the Sort Order on EZ-Pages also works as an enable/disable and must have a value in order to show ...

First, in the admin, go to Tools-> EZ-Pages
Open a new file.
Decide where you want the page to be linked from, in the side boxes, header, footer, etc. and click yes/no button for each.
Put any html content in the big box.
Click 'insert'
Poof! it is done!
I hope that helps
Ok, I tried that and it ain't happening. Any ideas?
I need a page with reciprocal (whatever the word is) links to sites that have a link to mine.
Thanks.
Re: How do EZ-Pages work?
The more I learn about EZ-Pages, the more I like it. I just learned how to do the table of contents today, that's slick! This never showed up until I put chapter no. all the same for related pages, and then the order for pages, very simple, now that I done it.
Now I see it puts a - Previous Continue Next buttons at the top.
Is there a way to also put them at the bottom of the page? or is that code work?
I think it would make multi page articles a little less scrolly up. (is that a word?) I had already made my own prev. and next links at the bottom.
