made products_description table utf8 compatible?

Hello zeners!

I have a problem and I hope you people help me. Everything works fine but because my eshop is in greek when someone made an order in the order confirmation email he receives the product's name shows as #94-7;&#95-3; instead displaying the correct greek name.

Can I just change the collation of database table named 'products_description' from latin1_swedish_ci to utf8_general_ci instead of reinstall the whole zen cart eshop with utf8 from the beginning?

I also want to ask if it is possible to send in order confirmation email the english name of the product.

I found a middle solution. Typing the greek products from explorer and setting the browser encoding in iso greek they shows as expected.
