Using version 1.5.7c and I have a few products with attributes (like colour or scent). Is there a built in way to set our stock amounts per attribute, for example 12 units of top quarks and 8 units of bottom quarks currently in stock? I am new to the attributes settings and can't identify where that would be changed. I have seen an add-on module that is meant for this but it seems geared to earlier versions of Zencart (1.51) and it modifies a lot of core files.

There is a non commercial, free version of software called stock by attributes that for Zen Cart 1.5.7 edits two template files and one admin file. Truly none of those edits are required to support the overall functionality, but the user experience may be degraded by not using the template modifications. Potteryhouse had done extensive work to revive the plugin in support of his needs which were single attribute per product related. I was contacted as I started to incorporate multiple attributes into the work he was doing and brought it up to the current product. His instructions though have not been furthered.
