Adding a store discription to main page

I'm trying to add a discription of my store on the main page only. I want to throw in all of the keywords I can. :smile:

I would like it to be at the bottom of the page, just above the links near the footer.

I've tried adding html to the tpl_main_page.php
It displays great, but it's on every page!
Is there a way to place it just on the main page?

If I understand you correctly, you would do that here..

admin->tools->define pages editor

select "define_main_page.php" and edit the content there.

When I add html in that way it puts it at the top of the page. I'd like to add the discription to the bottom of the page, after the list of "featured products."

oh. Not sure but you could try and mess with the sort for the "featured products"

admin->configuration->index listing

other than that, maybe try the main page template in you "includes/templates/yourtemplate" folder.
