switching config.php files
trying to move my dist-configure.php files to to configure.php files on ubuntu using putty. I'm not sure if I have the right way to do that. This is my command;
/var/www/html/zencart# mv dist-configure.php target conf.php
mv: target 'conf.php' is not a directory
Re: switching config.php files
I have no idea what the correct command is, but my question is why are you wanting to do this. The dist-configures are only examples. The real configure files are created on the fly during installation.
Re: switching config.php files
Those are only meant to be guides as to what the config files might look like after they are auto-created by the installation program.
Much easier to let the ZC_install folder do its thing.
Re: switching config.php files
I didn't rename the file when I installed zc and my config.php file is empty
Re: switching config.php files
If you correctly installed ZC, you should have two configure.php files that are the ones required for ZC to work properly.
includes/configure.php
YOUR_ADMIN/includes/configure.php
Re: switching config.php files
how do i set chmod777 on this file so I can read it?
/var/www/html/zencart# includes/configure.php
-bash: includes/configure.php: Permission denied
Re: switching config.php files
Some systems do not like 777. Your config files are probably at 444 or 644. 644 is fine for editing. 444 keeps out the script kiddies.
