You were right the currency rate was left as the default.
CAD showed 1.11.
Once I pressed the currency exchange update button it reset and all appears to be reset ok. CAD$ now 1.00...

Actually it's not sorted out...
I had a problem initially that I could not get in to my admin login.

The individual reviewed and commented out those fields.
So, I seem to be having issues...

When I installed I entered SSL by mistake.
