I have a new site installed (1.39h) and i have checked the new vat rate of 20% on the figures I was having problems with and it is working ok by letting me show prices as 7.95 - which shows...

The solution seems to be to upgrade to the latest version as the looks like the wee tax 1p glitch is now been resolved - sods law - if the vat rate hadn't changed everything would be fine!
