I've noticed with SSU that the URL for the 1st page in a category shows the clean URL Alias but if I go to pages 2, 3, 4, etc it doesn't show the Alias. I've even tried going into the Alias manager...

I have the same exact problem. I had to use a URL shrinker like Hootlet to actually get any newsletter links to actually work. It would not take the SSU version.
