Looks like it's fixed, thanks to all
well, MOSTLY fixed, I guess-I don't see two search boxes.
Thank you for looking. I'm using WinMerge to make sure I DID get all the 1.5.5f revised files uploaded, and lo and behold, I missed:
includes/modules/pages/advanced_search_result/header_php.php,...
ZC version 1.5.5f
no plugins
PHP 5.6.32
Hello, I've discovered that the search box (from the user interface) produces an error if I search for a non existent product. Using either Firefox or...
As far as I can tell, I have all my "s"'s in the right places but then again I'm no longer encountering the problem without making any changes so it must have been a browser thing (and yes it was...
[Note: remember to include site URL, ZC version, list of plugins, PHP version, etc ... read the Posting Tips shown above for information to include in your post here. And, remove this comment before...
Not really sure. I should hastily add that whatever I broke is now fixed, but I guess I just wanted to work within my existing structure without switching templates. Kinda like that idea as a...
I have been using Winchester Responsive with great success running in ZC 1.5.5. After a lot of procrastination I am trying to upgrade to 1.5.5a. My first shot at that failed and I've restored a...
Bluehost deactivated my site today due to its causing performance problems on a shared server. Ok, it's been busy. But when I ask them what they mean, they refer to mySQL problems, such as:

My issue is resolved, thanks to all for their advice.
I missed that, thank you. I really do prefer Winchester Responsive, will tackle that little issue next.
Well, I was pleased with Winchester Responsive, but that template is throwing an error I cannot (yet) comprehend, so I thought I'd just run in the Classic Green template until I could overcome THAT...
Aha! True enough. That line #119 is not present in the vanilla includes/classes/split_page_results.php file but is present in the Winchester split_page_results.php file. So I merely need to...
Hmmmm, that's interesting.............I now see it's somehow related to Winchester Responsive, and I do have the files for that template uploaded, but not presently selected as my template.

Having just upgraded from 1.5.4 to 1.5.5, I'm working in the Classic Green template before I tackle the Responsive Template, and I've just noticed I seem to be missing the...
correcting typo: 0.99+0.0
Rick,
Small point of curiousity-does 0.99+0.9 pound mean .99 pound + no tare? My cart returns a quote for that.............
Eureka! (or however one might say that when someone else has found it), unless someone else spots a problem, that code fixes it for me, thank you very much!
If YOU'RE an idiot, Ajeh, I shudder to think about the nomenclature best for me...........:)

oops, sorry, here's the latest:
Improvement. Now my cart recognizes 13-15.99 as eligible for First Class parcels, but returns a low quote (I think).
If I use this test product, weighing 0.9875, with no handling fee set (for...
Will do, thank you. Unfortunately I have a time-sensitive thing I must attend to at the moment, per a phone call that just tied me up for a while, but I'll try to be quick about it and test the code...
New procedure for me. Hope this is it

Actually, I now discover that if I specify the weight of the product as 0.937, I get the First Class quote. If I specify 0.938 weight, quotes Priority only.
Installed the new USPS shipping module yesterday, and all seems to be well, except for the part where USPS tells us that First Class is now available for parcels between 13 ounces and 15.9999 ounces....
Hello,
I just fielded a distressing email from a customer who wants to know where's their order (needed in time for Christmas, an impossibility at this point). It would appear that they thought...
Well, I'm happy to provide a link, and the tool you provided does confirm the problem:

Google summarily informed me today that my site is not mobile friendly. I've overcome many of their objections, mainly the viewport meta tag, but I'm still not ok with them.
Their remaining...
my apologies, I'm not missing the folder and was confused by a new FTP client. As far as I know now, I'm on course, please feel free to delete this topic.
Thank you.
Before I began, I did back up my files and database. Encountered white pages, restored the files backup, regained control.
So now I'm back to square one: ready to upload new files...
Hello, I'm preparing to upgrade from 1.5.3 to 1.5.4 and have discovered I'm missing the admin folder admin/includes/init_includes and its contents entirely.
Cart's running fine, but I'm going to...
To complete the topic: Yes, that was it. I had just switched to a custom template that I'd unsuccessfully and incorrectly modified in the past, and the html_header.php contained errors. Crisis...
Oh, yes, I did, thank you very much. I'll bet this is not a new problem, but rather something I hadn't noticed before. I've recently switched custom templates and I see some stuff in the one I'm...
I think USPS is the only file I've installed.
I did modify USPS for Media Mail (which is where I suppose I uncommented that line and perhaps this has been going on for a while unnoticed by me and...
a couple of entries that indicated my configure files were not writeable, when I was doing my install, which I fixed, and these: (other debug entries are older than this upgrade)

Yes, Thank you, I certainly did have an uncommented echo:
Fixing that resulted in a further little glitch:

Would that be another uncommented something?
:(
Thanks,
I don't think that's it; I'm using USPS RateV4 Intl RateV2 - March 7, 2014 Version K3, and as far as I know that's up-to-date..........
Steve
I've finished upgrading to 1.5.3, haven't found anything funny except first page of checkout (checkout_shipping)
It looks like this :

Checkout_payment (and subsequent page) looks fine:...
thank you very much; guilty, but fixed.
Can't seem to get past this error when trying to validate my XHTML at W3C:
I'm pretty sure that's from my html_header.php:
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN"...
Heh. Don't thank ME, thank Ajeh...........an obscure little problem, wasn't it? By the way, I only had to turn off the RocketLoader beta, not the entire CloudFlare protection....
Thank you.
I wasn't bearing in mind that some layout settings are controlled in the admin panel (with the reset which I'm not really accustomed to using yet).
That pretty much decides the...
I'd like the appearance of my store to change four times a year (or maybe more), representing a Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter catalog. At the moment, I have a custom template with a header_bg...
Thank you; it's amazing how long I can stare at a typo and not see it.
A little rest never hurts either..........
I really hate to kick this up because it looks like most of these issues have been thoroughly covered, but I've come up with yet another variation on the problem I think.
I relocated the download...
I accidentally solved this problem today by trying to validate the XHTML on my site.
It turned out to be a problem with my doctype.
When I changed that to:
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC

Further info:
Problem was specifically an incompatibility with third-party CloudFlare's RocketLoader beta, interfering with ZC calendar javascript. Disappeared after turning off CloudFlare...
Rest of story: Issue was unrelated to Zen Cart (which I probably should have suspected when I found no similar topics), but I am grateful for the assistance I received here and having had the...
renaming the admin director and uploading a fresh set of admin files to olddirectoryname and adding my configure.php resulted in no change...........
:dontgetit
ok, I can sure look at that...........
in the meantime, I've finished my comparisons between the fresh admin folder and mine which is running.
If the fresh one is "left side" and the running...
I'm sitting here wondering if it could be a database-side problem of some kind..........I seldom monkey around in there, but I'm doing a more complete comparison of the fresh admin folder and my...
