Thanks for the input Dr B. I had a rethink about this based on what you said here and found a very simple compromise. Since it was the backslashes causing the error in MS Access but the backslashes...
hmm - removing the backslash causes MS Access to throw a new error: Warning - Missing Operator
CurrentDb.Execute "INSERT INTO configuration (configuration_title, configuration_key,...
Thanks Tino - pretty much what I thought but you have kindly confirmed it form me. It looks like removing the backslash will be safe for Access without introducing bugs into Zencart.
Many thanks

I am still working on an MS Access offline database system for Zencart and I am currently building the Installer into MS Access. There are one or two issues which MS Access does not like and I need...
Can anyone shed any light on why a CRON job for Sitemaps is returning this message:

Thanks for clarifying this for me. I have adjusted the VBA code so although the field shows #Error? in MS Access it will export the correct blank date in the mysql dump file.
Cheers

Shortened story:
I am developing a system which automates the creation of zencart tables into an offline database using MS Access. Tables are created and populated fine with the exception of the...
The UK Royal mail and Parcelforce mod is vital for UK online shops if they are to succeed. I applaud your work on this and personally I would be happy to pay a modest fee to see it maintained.

Hi Scrat
I have adopted a bottom up approach using Excel and Access. Generally speaking Excel is great for data input into one spreadsheet in the same way Easypopulate works. Access is great for the...
I am rather surprised this thread has not generated more interest but then I guess that is because it as moved from General Questions to Contributions/Addons where les people are likely to see it.

Look in admin/configuration/email options and check to see what the email transport method is set to.
Try switching it to PHP then run a test order and see if the emails get sent.
Ypu need to be looking at the table 'customers' in the database. This contains the name of the customer and their email address. Export the table as a CSV file and you should be able to import it...
Probably because:
a) Not everyone has the money to pay for their software
b) open source software should have open source contributions IMHO
c) there is always scope for new contributions -...
Hi Afo
Currently there is no interface of any real interest other than an MS Access form with two buttons. However, with (a lot of) work it can become a full blown clone of the online admin system....
Hello everyone
I know it has been quite some time since I have been on the zencart forum but I have been kept busy doing other things.
I have been dusting off some old projects and I am...
Hi all
Can anyone tell me which tables are affected when pricing by attributes? I need to build a mysql dump file so products are priced by attributes in bulk.
Thanks

Why not just donate £2.50 to the ############## project and buy the source fireworks file?
You are welcome by the way :)
@schoolboy
Whilst I agree this would certainly be a useful feature, be mindful the UK postal system is based on weight and size of package, not based on distance within the UK. So there is not...
If it was more complex than that I would have told you the more complex method. It really is as simple as I described above - unless of course I am not understanding what you are looking for.
As...
It is done using an image editor such as photoshop or fireworks. You create a base layer (say a blue rectangle). Then you create a copy of that layer and change the color to white. On the white layer...
The simplest solution by far is to build an interpreter database. This would take the existing inventory database, identify which column matches which in the zencart database, then create a new table...
Nicely done - great job. Tested it on my XP box and it works a treat.
Excellent work

I just wanted to let you know I have had chance to look over the latest version of the contribution and you have done a splendid job of integrating all the changes.
Well done that man....
I cannot reproduce this error using 1.3.2 so either you are using an older version of zencart or the newer 1.3.5 version of zencart.
If it is the newer 1.3.5 version you will need to use winmerge...
This mod was designed and tested on 1.3.2 so it is probably an incompatibility with something in 1.3.5.
It is not often I get annoyed but posts like this really p*ss me off. You come on here ranting about this that and the other expecting someone to help and provide answers, (probably with great detail...
It depends what you called your template directory. If you called it my_template and this exists inside your includes/templates directory with all the related files and images, then you have done it...
I do this for a number of my clients. Both domains have their own hosting and installation of Zencart. Essentially one is a clone of the other and both use the same database.
The cart is clever...
This was only tested on the "then" latest version of Zencart 1.3.02
There are no changes to any core files as far as I can remember - mostly it is css so it follows the css is likely to be causing...
Hmm - that is weird. I tested this to death before submitting it and tried really hard to break it without success.
Have you uploaded all the files in the contribution exactly as instructed?

This is really simpler than you think. It can be done in three steps (one being looking at the country tables for some info and the other two deleting and inserting using two simple sql queries).

The problem you are describing is called the IE Peek-A-Boo Bug and is related to the CSS stylesheet.
To fix it perform this minor edit on your stylesheet:

I submitted a contribution to the Zencart downloads section a few days ago which will do exactly what you want with the categories tabs. I do not think it is available for download yet but I am sure...
Yes - it was caused by a corrupted upload from a file in the Stateselector Mod.
Deleting and reinstalling this file resolved the problem.
Thanks everyone for your help - could not see what was...

Hi David
Are you using Zen V1.3.1? If so the template you are using (Blue Strip) is not designed for it and this could be the reason for the Define Text appearing outside of the define page...
Assuming you use FTP to get the files onto your web server, you can use FTP to change the file permissions. Permissions are a server thing not a Zencart thing. If you have used fantastico to install...
Thanks for the post sketman. It is not the editor causing the problem, rather the path to the anchor. In a normal html page the anchor would be not need a url since it is referencing the same page....
Check the permissions for the define files on the server. They need to be 777 in order for the admin wysiwyg editor to save the changes (write to them)
