My site sometimes loads pages very slowly. Other times it flies along. Images have all been optimised and when it reaches the point of rendering images it never slows down.

I've got a problem in that the site runs fine a lot of the time and then slows right down to a crawl for a few minutes before speeding right up again. Also, it will be fine while I'm looking at it...

In the admin home page, what constitutes a 'new' order and a 'new' customer and are they configurable?

I guess that each of them are the most recent half dozen or so. Am I right?

I meant in admin->customers->customers which doesn't list any address details. I want to add postcode and sort by it.

I have a very simple requirement for shipping costs, as follows:

Order value up to £50: shipping cost = £3.95
Order value between £50.01 and £120: shipping cost = £4.50

Solved it. I had somehow turned off shipping charges. I set them back on and hey presto.
