Hi DrByte,
Sorry, I have been busy. We just put out our own open source project, http://mediafront.org/ . I am going to try and update my site with the correct info this coming week. The whole...
No, I don't think this is true, as it would not generate Hebrew on the fly. You need to do a search for a part of the hebrew with whatever file search tool you have. Once you find the file, you...
If that is right, just do a search of the files with dreamweaver for part of that language, shouldn't be too hard to track down. Give it a go!
does this text look right?
ЧћЧ•Ч¦ЧЁ Ч–Ч” Ч”ЧЄЧ•Ч•ЧЎЧЈ Ч‘Ч™Ч•Чќ щбъ, 13 Ч‘ошх, 2010
Is your language file settings, example: english.php, is this set to utf-8 in the settings, not the file itself, which should also be utf-8, but what sets the source code to utf-8.
Hi Dr. Byte,
That works.
Thanks,
Shaun
Hi DrByte, (I always feel you should be an evil character in MegaMan or something with that name...:-) )
Know you are busy, but did you come up with any solution for this problem or should we just...

Actually no, sorry, I should have played with my numbers first. If we set the dollar and the yen to a one to one ratio. 1$ = 100 yen, then this will work no problem.
But if I set the yen to a...
Yes I believe so. Let me put it through some more tests and make sure. I will post back.
Well, yes and no. I mean if people want to run a cron to keep their rates up to date, then it is going to error until they go in and fix it.
You see what I mean? The rate for Japanese yen for...
Hi,
PayPal Website Payments Pro and PayPal Express Checkout.
For the Default currency I have USD, Japanese yen I have set to this.
Title: Japanese Yen
Code: JPY
If you have your JPY set up right, then you should just be able to adjust the currency to 92 or something and it should work. Setting it to 94.399 will not work.
Hope that helps,
Shaun
Hi DrByte,
It is set to 0.
Hi,
In setting up Zen-cart to be able to handle payment from Japanese yen, which is a good option right now because the USD is so weak, I came up with an error.
I have not dug into this so deep...
I know this is old, but I just ran into this problem.

@yellow1912 - you might want to contact Dr. Byte as I know he is trying to work this into the install for 2.0. Maybe it could be some help to him. It would be a great tool for the community!
Sorry for the late reply here. Go into your admin language file. admin/includes/japanese.php and look for where it says
define('CHARSET', 'utf8');
change that to :
define('CHARSET',...
Nice to hear.
Wonder what the problem is? Maybe you can attach your file and I can look at it, or the Dr. if he has time.
I attached one file that I know works here:
6324
Upload this one to includes/classes/db/mysql/
This overwrites the core file.
Let me know if you still get the error after this,
Regards,
I will try and post the file on my site so that you can download it and use it.
I have seen this issue before with people. But can never work out why. On Monday, here in Japan, I will post a...
Is your database in unicode? If you go into your database and find the same text, can you read it there?
What I am guessing is one of two things. One, you made this content before you fixed the...

Font size is part of css. Note the part where it says, Older text editors and browsers. Anything above IE6, you will have no problem with UTF-8.
With font, you need to adjust your css.

Hi Eple,
Any cons to UTF-8, no, it's way better if you plan to run Japanese.

There is a way to put any link anywhere you want.

Off the top of my head I would say the links for ezpages get called up in tpl_header.php,...
Before you install Zen-Cart you need to change the database Collation. That should take care of the database.
@AddVant
1st, you did the database Collation before you installed Zen-Cart?
Also, you did this too?:
The next change is to query_factory.php.
@shen,
Sorry I wasn't around to help you out there. But there is nothing better than learning the hard way and doing it on your own. I'm glad to see you got it all worked out.

CKD
Hi DrByte,
I got it all worked out now. Thanks for putting me in the right direction.
