    I had a similar situation as yours, but have fixed this issue recently. Did you make sure that your DNS is set correctly after changing your addon domain to the primary domain?

    I'd just go for the upgrade. If your too busy to do the upgrade, you can have your host do it for you. And if the upgrade fails, you can always revert back to the previous database.
