We cannot answer level of effort/time because we don't know what YOUR DEVELOPER would estimate HE will require. Now if what you really are asking here is what needs to be done to fix it, that is...
Last I looked, Stamps.com all they had was a desktop tool that only worked on Windows machines.. Doubtful that has changed..
**nods in agreement**
Well IMHO, this really needs to stay a separate module and not be incorporated into the USPS module.. Not everyone needs this functionality, and the basic USPS module doesn't need the BLOAT of...
I wouldn't hold my breath.. My GUESS is this was done to accommodate their PAYING partners (Shipstation, E-Stamps)
Broken.. suggest you page back through this thread and read why..
**nods in agreement**
Apparently not using this module given lat9's assessment (which I trust since she is a GREAT developer)
Seems the only FREE option is USPS Click-N-Ship site..
IMHO, these "group efforts" never go anywhere around here because most folks have no problem ASKING for what they want.. they appear to have issues PAYING for what they want.. If you are willing to...
Java and javaSCRIPT are not one and the same... This module does NOT use any Oracle Sun JAVA code..
Like all other modules.. this will get resolved when someone submits an updated module.. Until...
I guess you missed the post RIGHT above yours??
lat9 is an AWESOME resource, but there are others as well.. If you go the oDesk route, look for developers who are ACTIVE in this forum versus the many fly-by-night resources that proliferate oDesk.....
and when that happens, if you need it for your BUSINESS, you may have to INVEST in having a developer fix it for you..
Just a suggestion.. but maybe one collaborator could create a GitHub repository and then you all can work from one place..
Or simply run the SQL from the Zen Cart SQL admin tool and DO NOT run it from PHP Admin and not have to worry about having to modify the SQL at all..
Not an easy task.. Though the super_orders.php file is BASED on the default orders.php, the differences are still fairly vast and trying to do a file comparison between the two is NOT for the faint...
If everything esle works, then it's a matter of someone adding the right files and DB changes needed to make the admin menu visible.. Hopefully the add-on maintainers will add this to the fileset..
emeraldspread & johnniejetski will have to provide details on their specific situations. I was simply pointing out that I did not think they were speaking specifically of using the Zen Cart...
I don't think the folks you were addressing are using the multi-store add-on for ZEN CART.. I think they meant they use their USPS accounts for more than ONE website, and that doesn't necessarily...
and quite honestly I wouldn't use any add-on that hasn't been specifically updated to be v1.5 compliant.. Also given that not everyone who updates may be not fully aware of how to verify if there are...
And given there is no active "maintainer" of this mod, it will be a while before that happens.. Truthfully who ever updates it for v1.5 should make and attempt to correct the other known issues with...
Because it's incorporated into Zen Cart...
Short answer is yes..
Since this paragraph above was quoted.. I thought it was important to show what this section of the SO3 readme says in full.. I've highlighted the sections which speaks to my earlier posts..
I'm sorry the rewards are probably few for helping maintain these mods to zencart....maybe why so many questions go unanswered in other mod threads. It is a great opportunity to both benefit and...
Our decision to merge the required changes for this and other mods into Super Orders with only an admin switch required to activate them was based on the support questions posted over the years...
Not a Super Orders issue.. Unknown column means that there is a missing DB column.. This is a sign of an incomplete installation.. Did you run the SQL file that comes with THIS module??
Not errors showing in the browser.. Your ZEN CART error logs.. they are in your store's cache folder.. What do the error log files say??
Look in your Zen Cart log files (stored in the cache folder) what does the error log say??
It would help if you could provide details behind what "not working" means..
