I checked both the paths you suggested

/includes/languages/english/index.php
or
/includes/languages/english/ashley_pink/index.php

I think i'm definitely missing something here..i'm quite new...

In both instances it's blank define('HEADING_TITLE', '');

I tried replacing it with a word, but meta_tag_title still appears in the navbar, not the word i introduce

I looked up all the files in which meta_tag_title appears and replaced all of the meta_tag.php files with the originals; in the developer tool kit some other files...

Solved the problem..reinstalled all the files and now images are showing up. Thank you Stevesh for your help!

Later edit..when i try to open each button individually from the ashley_pink/images folder they show up like small x in the browser.
