    v155 Blank Front End

I did a new installation of 1.5.5e last month and just came back to start work on it and saw the f version was out. I haven't worked with ZC for about 8 years and screwed up somehow. I just deleted...
  3. v138a Re: Best Practice for new install and import very big database contents from old vers

Nevermind, I see my answer in the part about keeping an existing store live. I'll follow that procedure. Thanks again.
  4. v138a Re: Best Practice for new install and import very big database contents from old vers

Sorry I'm still confused. So am I better off cloning the existing site as-is onto the new server and then running it through the upgrades or installing a new clean version on the new server and...
  5. v138a Re: Best Practice for new install and import very big database contents from old vers

Thanks very much. I have read over that page several times and was still confused so that's why I posted.
  6. v138a Best Practice for new install and import very big database contents from old version

    Howdy:

I just want to make sure I go about this the most efficient way.

I have a 15 year old site still in version 1.3.8a (I know... I know... it is what it is, please don't blast me about it...
  7. v154 Re: Hosting Co update MySQL to 10.0.32-MariaDB & PHP 5.6.31 Broke Site

Hmm. Thanks, but that doesn't really make sense. I see the DB in CPanel and it has the assigned user I established. Plus I can change it if I wish. I don't see why that would be an issue for my host.
  8. v154 Re: Hosting Co update MySQL to 10.0.32-MariaDB & PHP 5.6.31 Broke Site

Also I'm assuming it's not 1.5.5 and needs to be upgraded but if that's the case and since I can't access the site front or back, how do I upgrade?
  9. v154 Hosting Co update MySQL to 10.0.32-MariaDB & PHP 5.6.31 Broke Site

Awesome. Thanks so much. By the way, where does one go to hire ZC professionals these days? I see the forum section for that is disabled.
  11. Old Sites to brand new install on different server

    Hi there:

I just want to double check that I am doing it the simplest and most efficient way.

I have two ancient sites (one on 1.2.7 and the other 1.3.8a) that I am finally getting around to...
