However this is what I have sorted out so far....

into the
/includes/extra_configures/my_db_charset.php file to
get over the problem??

Yes files in html_define editor and there is no disruption to text.



So zen cart is now putting and pulling text into the database as iso-8859.
You need to correct your database connection to...

/includes/extra_configures/my_db_charset.php

I do not understand how it is my browser causing the problem.
On my computer this appears in firefox and ie and on my lap top it does the same but the symbol changes to a small box.

That sounds fine but the � symbol appears not only by my £ sign but also in the stamp description and also in IE. This never happened with version 1.3.8a.

Recently upgraded from 1.3.8a to 1.3.9h and the site is working fine except this symbol � is appearing in various places on the site. Like instead of £ I get �.

I am not sure that I understand this but here goes....

If I use Product Types...Document Product in admin then I can upload a copy of a template table( which can be filled in in products...

In the products description section is it possible to import a table template as I wish the information ( about 30 lines) to be listed down the page and not all squeesed up.

In Categories....Europe Stamps.....the list of countries in main page, when mouse over drop and jitter bug. This happens in all categories in IE8 on my machine.

Site up and running fine in Firefox but in IE8.....in products its got the jitters:huh: any ideas?
