Why not just copy and paste your disclaimer into an ezpage and it will auto show in footer.
And you can still edit it at any time.

The obvious answer here is split the websites around different servers, and keep ecommerce sites seperate from servers running any high load sites if possible.

If you go to your zen admin, tools, server/version info

you will see what is loaded and configured.

Also you can tell how its overloaded.

I also set the conversion rate manually.... Left it at that for24 hrs.. then i again clicked update currencies and surprizeed to see it going back...
