v157 Re: ZX POS [Support Thread]

balihr, when you say "...which will then be usable by ZX POS", what should I expect? Now I'm trying to pinpoint a problem and not too sure of where to post. Should I expect the Custom Id to act as...

v157 Re: ZX POS [Support Thread]

Yes sir. I remembered that shortly after the post and have been studying the aforementioned plugin and the issues with 1.5.7. I didn't realize you had the references in the pos docs though. They are...

Re: Stock by Attribute v4.0 for Zen Cart 1.3.5

What does one do if they run 1.5.7? Is there an update that addresses the depreciated files such as admin/includes/classes/order.php?

I guess this is the right forum............kinda hard to tell.

v157 Re: ZX POS [Support Thread]

Correct me if I'm wrong balihr, but isn't that part of the payment processor? Let's look at the way it's done with online orders: a customer enters the number themselves and Zen Cart gets the...
  9. v157 Re: Site is looking fine on desktop, but mobile????

In other words, I confirmed it works!
  10. v157 Re: Site is looking fine on desktop, but mobile????

    CORRECTION: Make that:

    images/level1/level2/level3/file

    to wit:

    images/military_vehicles/armyjeep1/file (for the smalls)
    AND THEN
    images/large/military_vehicles/armyjeep1/file
    AND
  11. v157 Re: Site is looking fine on desktop, but mobile????

Yes, it sure is. images/level1/level2 and create the same directory in each of the large and medium folders - images/large/level1/level2 AND images/medium/level1/level2

    thus, for this example=...
  12. v157 Re: Site is looking fine on desktop, but mobile????

I really like your thinking with "not letting a sale get away" it's good business sense. Quite a bit more work to capture it, but the reward may well be worth it. I have to weigh the pain, time and...
  13. v157 Re: Site is looking fine on desktop, but mobile????

How many folders deep can one go? Is it possible to do something like: images/military_vehicles/armyjeep1? This would certainly make it easier as the products come and go, thus adding years to my...
  14. v157 Re: Site is looking fine on desktop, but mobile????

Soup's done! Tastes great. Reckon I can write a small book by now.

Thank you mc12345678. That's the trick.
  15. v157 Re: Site is looking fine on desktop, but mobile????

Wow! There's a lot of alphabet soup in that kettle - gotta turn the heat down and cook a little more slowly.

This makes sense! armyjeep101_LRG.webp (or .jpg if one prefers) really should be...

  18. v157 Re: Site is looking fine on desktop, but mobile????

I feel really stupid today. Experimenting now with the folders idea. I assume there can be multiple folders, say military_vehicles, batteries, gift_certificates, categories etc.

    Then in the...
  19. v155 Re: Home Page Products Carousel [Support Thread]

Well, that did work pretty good!. At first I thought it was a major file, but then realized it was only css - no problem. I learned.
  20. v155 Re: Home Page Products Carousel [Support Thread]

No need to copy that file, there's only 2 lines in it -
    @import url("owl.carousel.css");
    @import url("owl.theme.default.css");
    There! Copied and stored.
  21. v155 Re: Home Page Products Carousel [Support Thread]

OUCH! Hummm, ok! Lets see how badly I can break my home page. Copy, copy, copy. I assume this is new code, not a replacement, so this (I think) is my first exposure to (somewhat) starting something...

  23. v157 Re: Site is looking fine on desktop, but mobile????

This is something that is a standoff of sorts. Cell service around me isn't great and even I have trouble with other formats loading very slowly. 60% of users are on modern devices capable of things...

  25. v157 Re: Site is looking fine on desktop, but mobile????

LOL- Images per row, default 3 man, not 20. I got it.
  26. v157 Re: Site is looking fine on desktop, but mobile????

HAHAHAHA! I couldn't wait. I HAD to change it now. But, take a look at what it did. The additional images are all bunched up, like snakes in the water.
  27. v157 Re: Site is looking fine on desktop, but mobile????

AH HA I just got it:
"If you've told Zen Cart that your main image is armyjeep101.webp (and not armyjeep1.webp) then it will only ever recognize all the "101" files." Reckon Ill do the renaming...

  29. v157 Re: Site is looking fine on desktop, but mobile????

  30. v157 Re: Site is looking fine on desktop, but mobile????

Yeah huh? Interesting because I don't have any images currently on there anymore except some batteries and that darn jeep. I took them all off a couple of days ago, even that pic of the ESC's isn't...
  31. v157 Re: Site is looking fine on desktop, but mobile????

I deleted all but the armyjeep101 from medium, I used armyjeep101 small for the admin upload. I still have all 15 of the smalls in images and all 15 of the _LRG in large ...... :( no cookie yet!
  32. v157 Re: Site is looking fine on desktop, but mobile????

So, the additional images that are supposed to show on the product page are only the smalls in images? I can get rid of the other 14 in medium (YAY!) but keep all 15 smalls in "images" (thumbnails)...
  33. v157 Re: Site is looking fine on desktop, but mobile????

Looking deeper, and beginning to over think.........

armyjeep101 in images (small) uploaded in admin
armyjeep102 BAD in images (small (unless that's the one uploaded in admin))
    armyjeep101_MED...
  34. v155 Re: Home Page Products Carousel [Support Thread]

  36. v157 Re: Site is looking fine on desktop, but mobile????

  37. v157 Re: Site is looking fine on desktop, but mobile????

  38. v157 Re: Site is looking fine on desktop, but mobile????

Hummmmmmmm..... Maybe I have a fault with armyjeep101, armyjeep102 etc. Originally I had it armyjeep1_1, armyjeep1_2 thus armyjeep1_1_MED armyjeep1_2_MED etc, but that wasn't working so I went the...
  39. v157 Re: Site is looking fine on desktop, but mobile????

    I have 15 each size, armyjeep101.webp thru armyjeep116.webp - same names for 15 ea armyjeep101_LRG and armyjeep101_MED.
armyjeep101-armyjeep116 are in images (125x125), so 15 of them ...
  40. v157 Re: Site is looking fine on desktop, but mobile????

  41. v157 Re: Site is looking fine on desktop, but mobile????

Yup, I understand all of that. I'm troubleshooting some problems that aren't making much sense right now. I'm backing out of the merch folder idea until I get a grip on whats going on with...
  42. v157 Re: Site is looking fine on desktop, but mobile????

Yes sir! I'm reading your contribution to that 2012 thread too, it is in plain English laid out nicely. One question it brings up....you stated the /images/medium/merch/widget_MED is the main page...
  43. v157 Re: Site is looking fine on desktop, but mobile????

    Demo Images Question

    Using zc157b responsive classic.

I was looking thru the images folder(s) and see the Microsoft, Matroxx, hp, sierra, dvd, etc folders with sample images (I think). Is there a genuine purpose other...
  45. v157 Re: Site is looking fine on desktop, but mobile????

I'm now starting to get into the images phase and I think I see what you may have been trying to say. I suspect it is related to the sizes on the images and not the webp format, the webp format is a...

I apologize for confusing you. I'm a much better person today having found this out. Maybe Santa, or is that Santa Clause, will be kinder to me come Christmas.

  47. Sticky: v155 Re: Responsive Classic (built in to Zen Cart v1.5.5) [Support Thread]

Moving Rants and Raves to the mobile menu was a fun and educational challenge, thank you DrB. for the points!

  48. Sticky: v155 Re: Responsive Classic (built in to Zen Cart v1.5.5) [Support Thread]

Ok, I'll work on that. I'll go with the adding the links to the mobile.
  49. Sticky: v155 Re: Responsive Classic (built in to Zen Cart v1.5.5) [Support Thread]

The Rants and Raves, by the way, is built from lat9's Blank_Sidebox mod, which is also awesome.
  50. Sticky: v155 Re: Responsive Classic (built in to Zen Cart v1.5.5) [Support Thread]

    That did the trick.

    Thank you DrByte!

Anybody feel like working out why on the mobile version my links in the "Important Links" don't show as they do in the full version? That would complete...
