Default Latest Version of PayFlow Pro?

    Hello,

We are implementing zen-cart 1.3.8a (hosted @ Media Temple) and are going to use payflow pro.
I see that the latest version in the downloads area is 1.3d but there is mention of a newer version in this post from almost 6 months ago:
    http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showth...988#post481988

Should I use the newer version? And if so how do I setit up (since there is no readme file)?
Should I just use the instructions from 1.3d?
What about running the SQL script?
And the additional folders such as
    bin
    certs
    lib
(I assume I dont need these from some statements made in the thread mentioned above)
    What about the extra_datafiles?

    Sorry if this got confusing.

    Thanks in advance.

It looks like you'll need to install the files and SQL patch from the 1.3d version in Downloads, and then upload the files DrByte posted in the thread you referenced.

The code posted here is the latest published Payflow Pro module code, which works by simply installing the files (after unzipping) onto a v1.3.8 site.
    http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showth...988#post481988
It is independent of the older Payflow Pro module in the downloads area -- ie: there is no need to install the one from the downloads area.

    Dr.,

When you say "installing" you mean just FTPing the includes directory (and all sub directories and files) into my current directory (which will overwrite or add any files as necessary).
As simple as a drag and drop (in a graphical FTP program)?

After doing this, the module will show up in the admin and all I will have to do is add my parameters?

Sorry for all of the questions. It just sounds too easy!
    Hopefully it is

    Yes.

The zip has a folder structure. Just upload the new files into the same folder structure on your site.

    OK.
I have uploaded the files and I see the module in the payments section in my admin.

However, I am not sure how I test this to make sure it is working properly.
My client has given me the proper credentials and I have logged into the paypal manager.

I would like to see how a real transaction (and a test) will look.

Also, I was told that I need to pass an order ID to paypal, so that they will be able to manually identify these transactions. I assumed this was already going to happen, but they mentioned something about it being in a comments field.
    Is this already happening?
If not, will I be able to use your mod to do this?
(you can see why I need to test)

I configured your mod with "sandbox" mode, but I dont have a sandbox account and my initial review of paypal's sandbox leads me to believe that this may be overkill for me. Hopefully there is an easier way.
I did see something in the paypal documentation about pointing to a different URL for testing, but I dont know where that configuration is in your mod. (and I dont know what that different URL would do for me anyways, since the paypal docs were not that descript)

My biggest issue right now is time, in that I need to have this up and running by the end of the week.

    Thanks again,

Default How do you test payflow pro?

I am using the latest version of Dr. Byte's payflow pro (the one that is not in the downloads area but in a forum post... I dont have the link right now, but if someone needs it, just let me know). It is the version that works with 1.3.8a.

I want to test it, but dont know how to set this up without making any errors.

Is there any documentation? Or can anyone help me out?

I am looking for information on how to set it up properly and then test it to make sure that it is running correctly.

Any assistance whatsoever would be greatly appreciated.

I have spent hours on the forums, sifting through pages and pages of posts, but they all seem to be beyone what I am looking for. Maybe I just havent found the right post or I am not searching correctly.
    Thanks,

If you have a "live" account, and put the module in "live" mode, then the easiest way to test is to just do a transaction.

I will attempt that tomorrow morning (i have to take a break at some point) lol

I assume that I should just setup a $.01 item and do the test? and then see what happens in the paypal manager?

I guess one of the issues that i am having is that I did not set up the paypal account, someone else did and just gave me the info, so I am not familiar with all of the functionality within that control panel.

A 0.01 or 1.00 product is a good test point.
You can do a refund from the Payflow account console, so you won't be "out" any money.
