Change to UK English

I have had comments from users that a lot of the words used are in US English, such as Check instead of Cheque on the checkout pages.

Is there a way of changing this?

I also want to change the term 'walk in' to Collection
and Table (Best Way) to Delivery.

Can this be done?

Yes, they can be changed see the tutorials/FAQ (link at top of this page) for instructions on setting up your custom language files.

Thanks but I have no idea which files it is I am supposed to update/change.

I have run a search of all files for:
Check/Money Order
and
Table Rate

But these phrases do not appear in any file so how do I chnage them?

Did you use the Admin - Tools - Developers Tool Kit?

I found two files returned for each of those terms.
