Gift Certificates/Printable GCs/Group Discounts

Quick question,

Do group discounts affect the cost of gift certificates? If a customer within a 30% discount group purchases $50.00 worth of gift certificates, at check-out, will their discount be applied? I figured it would be for printable GCs since they are listed as a product and can't be excluded from the group discount but I wasn't sure if ZC knew not to add the discount to GC purchases.

Gift certificates are specifically excluded from Group Discounts.

I was looking for an answer to this. My store is discounting the group pricing on GC. Just tested it and the discount is reflected on the shopping cart.... would you have a solution for this? my GC are priced by attributes.

You need to set the product model number to "GIFT" (or something that starts with that).

Thanks for the reply. The GC was set up properly as per the manual instructions, the problem was the actual ot_gv.php page, for some reason it was corrupted and I had to upload it again. Everything is working fine now.
