Reupload all of the files from the Zen Cart zip. Looks like you have some corrupted files.
Please do not PM for support issues: a private solution doesn't benefit the community.

Be careful with unsolicited advice via email or PM - Make sure the person you are talking to is a reliable source.

It seems that your /index.php file is damaged.

k jsut tried to upload a fresh index.php.
    no change...

I see the package i have on my server info says that i have only been allocated 5mb space and i know zencart is like 10MB's.
    Could it maybe be that?

That only half the files are registering as being there? Even though I can see them all on the server?

Yes, insufficient disk space can cause all manner of unexpected problems.

A hosting account which allocates only 5 mb disk space is woefully unsuited for ecommerce.
