    Default adding extra customer details

    Good morning :)
    On my wholesale site, I would like to add two lines to the customer details. One would be for the retail license number and another line for the retail license state. Can that be done and if so, how?

    or would it be best to include this in the sign up for an account info and again......if so.....how? :)

    Well, I hope somebody answers this in EXACT DETAIL for you, as maybe they will direct you to duplicate the phone number in the Create Account area for the customers EIN. I done this, and it worked great except it STILL lets the customer create an account without entering their EIN, and there's nothing in Admin>Minimum Values to set the minimum amount of numbers that will be accepted. I can, however, instruct you on how to do this to make the customer "think" that it's a required field, as it says it is. Good luck.

    You can manually go in the file and hard-code the checking to make it required.
    I no longer provide installation support on forum for all my modules. However, if there are real bugs with the modules please feel free to contact me

    file.....hard code......foreign concepts to me, sorry My experience is greatly limited in that capacity. Thanks for the suggestion though!

    ok, can't i just add a line under company (in customer details) and entitle it License number/State ?

    I mean, if i knew what file it was in, couldnt i just copy and paste the company line, paste it directly below that and replace the word "company" with License number/State?

    if so...where would that file be located exactly? Hm..maybe developers tool kit could help me find it?

    there has to be a simple way for someone with my limited knowledge, right?

    It's not that easy, you have to make create an additional field in the table, and make sure that ZC collects info from this new field and add to db. You also need to make sure ZC displays this new field in the Admin as well.

    To remove the company name field, I believe you go to your admin panel. Click on "configuration" then "customer details". Go to where it says "Company" and make sure it is marked as "false". That will remove the box so that customers will not have to fill it in :) Hope this helps!!
