how to set up pick three

I want to allow the buyer to pick up to three items from a list of 11.
That is the buyer is purchasing for one price upto three items, but can pick from a list of 11 items.

How would I set that up in Zen Cart? I'm assuming it would be done with attributes.

You can use checkboxes ... however, there is nothing yet built in to control how many are actually selected ...
