Dual Pricing & Free Shipping - but not for Wholesalers

We're on 1.3.7 and have Dual Pricing installed. We also run an offer for Free Shipping for orders over $125, and have that set-up. But we don't want wholesalers to have that free shipping over $125, only retail purchasers.

Is there a way to accomplish this? Did a search but couldn't find anyone with the same issue...

I'm very sorry for bumping this, but I'm hoping it'll catch the eye of someone else who has had (and solved) this problem. I've searched a lot, but the keywords "free shipping" "dual pricing" and "wholesale" keep producing threads that are hundreds of responses long - I'll be combing through forever, and I really don't know if the answer is in there.

So I'll only do this once, but I'm wondering if anyone has solved this issue...

How are you going to charge the wholesale customer? Which shipping method? You can do an if statement...

Hi Marg - thanks for the thoughts. We'd like the wholesale buyers to be exposed to regular shipping as per usual, no matter how much they buy; but a regular customer, would get Free Shipping over $125.

I can write an if statement for it, that's true - I'm just not sure what file(s) I should be qriting that statement in :)

That's why I asked which shipping method you were going to use... I use sessions for my wholesale area just because it's easier.
In my includes/modules/pages/login/header_php.php I put:
_SESSION['customers_whole'] = $check_customer->fields['customers_whole'];
You also need to add customers_whole to the $check_customer_query

I turned on the table shipping option in the admin and put thie following in my includes/modules/shipping/table.php

if (zen_get_shipping_enabled($this->code)) {
if (!$_SESSION['customers_whole'] == 1) {} else {
$this->enabled = ((MODULE_SHIPPING_TABLE_STATUS == 'True') ? true : false);
}
}

Works like a gem for me.
