    Default template troubles

i have followed the 3 posts of instructions about creating a new template, which i have done succesfully, i copied the css folder from template defaults and it was not pretty, so i copied the one form the classic folder's css and that made it a lot better, my question however is can i simply copy all the files form the classic folder into my custom templates folder and then edit them? as it is now it turned the site pretty ugly with those foldesd all empty, or must i ONLY put modded files into the custom folder? can i edit the classic files insted of the default files before transferring into my custom folder? oh and one last hing how do i make the tab say my site name instead of Ze Cart!,
The Art of E-commerce...., i have read as many wiki/forums/faqs as possible before i noobily came and asked questions, any help appreciated, thank you

I usually do copy the files from the 'classic' folders to my 'custom' override folders since I'm likely to edit those anyway, but it isn't necessary - you can copy them one by one as you edit them. Your site will look a lot better with the stylesheet from 'classic' than it does now.

Most of the files you edit (other than the CSS) will be copied from the 'template_default' and you definitely want to do those as you need them.

Think of it this way - 'template_default' is the default template (duh) and 'classic' is a sample custom template the devs include to show you an example of how overrides work.

Anything, define or not, that is in an override folder will not be changed by an upgrade.

Your first question is answered somewhere in the tutorials/FAQ at the top of this page.

The second: Admin - Tools - Banner Manager
