    Default Multiple Attributes

I've done some fishing around through the forums, but haven't come across a post that looked to be a similar situation. So I'm going to ask for some wisdom if someone can point me to a thread or something in the downloads section that'll make this work. I'm working with Zen 1.3.8a, brand new store so no products set up yet.

I have some products (pre-printed award certificates) that need to have multiple attributes. The basic setup with be as follows:

Product: Will be the award frame graphics. This will be a No Cost choice since the printing is a fairly constant for me that can be easily added in later.

Attribute 1: The color of the award frame graphics, for those that have color options (many do, some don't). This will also be a No Cost selection.

Attribute 2: I offer several different types of paper stock. Any graphic choice in any available color can be printed on any type of paper. This is a Cost selection, and the cost changes based upon the type of paper chosen.

Attribute 3: Quantity. I plan to sell in lots of 25, 50, 100, etc. And the price will change with each. Or maybe a better way to put it is a multiplier will change with each level since the quantity price will also depend upon the paper selected in Attribute 2.

Any pointers on how to set up something like this where one attribute depends upon another? Are their any additions in the downloads section that'll help? Or will I end up having to make multiple graphics product pages for the different types of paper?

I'm open to just about any suggestion that will get me from point A to point B, hopefully with the easiest to manage setup possible.

    Thanks!

    Randy

Sorry, but you just can't do dependent attributes in Zencart. There's a mod which places your attributes in a grid here:

    but I don't think that's what you're looking for.

    Darn the bad luck!

I guess another way I can break it up would be to have the Paper Type be the "Base Product". There are only 3 or 4 different prices on those since each paper type is the same cost, regardless of color. Kind of a pain though since I'd have to have 3 or 4 product pages for each frame design, one for each type of paper.

I'll try out the Attribute Grid and see if that helps. If not it looks like I'll have to enter them separately by the paper type, then do the pricing by the quantity attribute.
