    Default Turning off guest cart

    Is it possible to turn off the guest cart? To be clearer, I don't want products added to the cart to be automatically added to the cart if a user leaves and returns.

    The cart is only saved if a user is logged in and then leaves. Guest carts expire in 24 minutes if there is no activity.

    Kim is correct.

    If you can't live with that, you'll have to edit code, as indicated in this post: http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showth...036#post457036

    Or, you could see if the feature for making customers create an account in order to add to cart works for you ...

    Peek in the Configuration ... Customer Details ...
    Customer must be approved to shop
    0= Not required
    1= Must login to browse
    2= May browse but no prices unless logged in
    3= Showroom Only

    It is recommended that Option 2 be used for the purposes of Spiders if you wish customers to login to see prices.
    Perhaps using that feature would accomplish what you are trying to do?
