    Default Ssl

    Hi

I have read the SSL tutorial and therefore asked my hosting company how to get pages secure.

I have been told by my hosting company that if I want to secure any pages I have to put https://secure.hostname/~username before the url of the page in order to get the page secure.

I am not sure how to do this, has anyone else come accross this? I am using DreamWeaver and version 1.38a

Can anyone point me in the right direction please.

    Thanks as always,

    Phil

You do not have to change the URLs of any pages the program does that automatically - use the secure information in your includes/configure.php and admin/includes/configure.php as per the instructions in the FAQ.

    Hi Kim

Thanks for the reply, I can view my site under the shared SSL certificate, however the css does not load with the site and so the pages are all over the place - how can I sort this first?

    Thanks,

    Phil

    The URL for your site?

    Hi Kim

When I view my site under nomal http://mysite.co.uk/shopping it loads fine, however when I view mysite under https://secure.hostname.com/~username/shopping the css pages don't load and it is all messy, any ideas?

I have not turned on SSL in Zen-cart.

    Thanks,

    Phil

PS I am in the UK if that helps!

    Hi Kim

I switched on SSL in Zen-cart and it sort of works, but what I think I need to do is to get the files that I want secure (login/register) in some sort of folder, rather than the whole site as it is now, do you know how to do that?

    Thanks,

    Phil

PS I am signing off for the night, will look for your reply tomorrow.

Everything you need is in that tutorial.

    Hi Kim

It all sort of works, but when I log in and go to the home page - the images don't show - is that normal?

And, is all of the admin area supposed to be secure, as it is only the login page for the admin that is secure at the moment - is something else I need to do?

    Thanks,

    Phil
